The result is that bead shines and shimmers when the light reflects off the silver foil inside the glass. The foil used can also be varied in different ways to alter the effects and appearance of the beads such as with stamped silver glass beads and two tone silver glass beads.

The color of the glass and the type of silver used along with the methods used to combine the two together means that endless designs are possible using these methods and no two silver glass beads will ever be the same.
